Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 63 63

“This new Entertainment Plaza will be completed by the end of May, next year…” Amelia briefed the guests about their new project that was displayed on the screen. “This will be the first in the chain of future Entertainment Plazas bearing this unique architectural design, and we call it the Project Element.” As soon as she revealed the name, the screen behind her displayed the unique logo of the Entertainment Plaza, making the guests even more awed by the beauty of the project.

The Black Forest Group had revealed three projects tonight, a Mid-End Shopping District, a Mid to High-End Residential Building, and now the Mid to High-End Entertainment Palaza. Each of these three projects were architectural marvels, and bore uniqueness that was going go make them standout in all of the city.

Even though the residential building was a mid to high-end project, it was was superior to some high-end residential buildings in the city, and the location of it was close to the new shopping district that they planned on making. All of this made this a hot property, and everyone realized that the prices of these apartments were going to sharply rise in the future.

The initial price that Amelia had revealed for the standard apartments was as low as 1.3 Million Neris, which was 300k more than the median price in the Sameran City. However, it was simply a bargain at this price.

After Amelia had revealed that her company was already accepting bookings for Residential Suites and the Standard Apartments in the new building, quite some guests were tempted and some were even determined to place their bookings right after the Inauguration Party. It did not matter to them that they had to pay the full price in advance, because there were simply no concerns about any scam or failure of this project.

The Black Forest Group might be the newcomers in the Business Community, but the one representing them was the Heir of Demiliore Family. Their investment was going to be in safe hands.

The cameras were constantly flashing, and the Press was having the day of their lives with all the news they were getting tonight. It was clear that Black Forest Group planned on starting a Chain of Entertainment Plazas, and given the uniqueness of this project, it was going to be a sure-shot hit. And the same was going to be the case for the Residents Building. It was destined to become one of the most famous place in the city. The Business Forums of Sameran City were going to have a hot Christmas this year.

The Press asked some more questions about the projects before Keith and his team called for the cake-cutting ceremony.

After it, a half-hour window was given to the guests if any of them wished to place their bookings for the Residential Building, and as expected quite a few of them decided to avail this chance.

When the half hour window closed, it was time for Dinner. It was not just an Inauguration Party, but also a Christmas Party, and thus the dinner was bound to be the best and the most sumptuous.

Qingyue and Celine congratulated them in advance on the success of their projects, and then they took their leave after having their meal.

Keith, May, Amelia, and Nana left the party a while later, leaving Sebastian in charge of it. And after dropping Nana at her home, they headed straight to the Demiliore Estate.

“Thank you, Aunt May!” Keith sincerely said when they arrived at the Manor and hugged the old woman. “And sorry for pushing you around so much.”

“It’s my duty, Young Master.” She sweetly smiled at him, and helped him fix his suit like she used to do when he was a child. “It is an honor to serve you.”

He could not help but feel warm in his heart and sighed.

“Well, then be prepared for we are going to get busier in the future.” He smiled at her. “But for now, I want you to get some rest. No compromises on health.” He strictly said. “Take the next week off.”

May had been cutting her sleep lately, and even if she looked fine to the others, he could see that tiredness was creeping into her. If she continued to work at the rate she was doing, her health was bound to deteriorate.

“As you command, Young Master.” She politely bowed to him. “I will take the week off from the Office, but I have to finish some dealings of the land that you need. But I promise I won’t push myself around.”

“Okay.” He sighed and nodded, knowing well that May could never sit still. She always needed some work on her hands for the peace of her mind and heart. It was just how she was.

“Good Night, Young Master, Young Lady!” May smiled brightly and bowed to them before heading to her room.

“You know, you are the best!” Keith happily smiled and said to Amelia before grabbing her hand and leading her to the lounge where he knew his grandparents and mother would be.

She had worked tirelessly on the designs, and just in a few days, she had finished the project of the Entertainment Plaza he had spoken about on Thursday. And it was as perfect as he wanted it to be, perhaps even more intriguing.

“I know.” She smiled back at him, and replied in the same manner he usually did, sounding just as narcissistic.

As soon as they entered the lounge, Keith let go of Amelia’s hand and rushed forward, picking up the graceful old lady with trademark Angelini eyes in his arms.

“I missed you, Grandma!” He cheerfully said and spun around with her before placing her back on her feet. “And sorry for not being here to receive you today.”

Yes, it was none other than his paternal Grandmother, Diana Angelini, the Deputy Governor General of Netheria, who was arguably the second most powerul person in the country.

“You are forgiven just because I know that you were busy.” The old woman, who looked her age unlike her husband because she was just a normal human, lovingly cupped his cheeks and looked at his handsome profile with her misty eyes. “We saw the telecast of the Inauguration Party. I am proud of you!” .

“Thank you!” He chuckled. “But I am not forgiving you! Grandfather said that you will be coming last Wednesday, and you are 6 days late!” He complained like a spoilt little boy, making her giggle at his antics.

She was the only person he behaved around like this, and everyone who was watching their interaction could not help but smile. It was just too heartwarming.

“Something important came up, my child. My Apologies for keep you waiting!” She hugged him again, and kept her face nuzzled in his chest for a good while.

“Hey, I want to introduce you to someone special.” He lovingly stroked her back and then whispered near her ear, reminding her about something she had forgotten about.

“Oh, right!” She imemdiately let him go and happily looked at Amelia. “Come here, child!”

“Grandmother!” Amelia approached her and addressed her intimately, which elated Diana and she simply stepped forward and hugged the young girl in her arms.

“I am happy that my naughty grandson managed to find someone as beautiful as you. And little lady, I am impressed!” She said after she let go of her. “Venessa told me that you are the one behind the designs of your Group’s Projects. And honestly, you are a genius!”

“Thank you!” Amelia graciously accepted the compliment and sweetly smiled. “Keith was very precise about everything he wanted, and that helped a lot with he designs.”

“Already speaking in favor of your husband, huh?” Diana giggled and then then looked at Keith. “I like her!”

“And why wouldn’t you?” He scoffed and stepped forward, wrapping his arm around his bride’s waist. “She’s my wife, after all.”

“Congratulations, you two!” Raizer called out and then generously smiled at them. “And well done!”

“Thank you, Grandfather!” They both respectfully bowed to him, and then looked at Venessa, who was standing a little away, smiling in their direction.

“I liked you speech.” She smirked and said to Keith, inciting a smirk on his lips that matched hers.

“Thank you, Mother!”

“And you were briliant, Amelia! Perfect for the first public appearance!” She was little more generous about complimenting her daughter-in-law and came forward to hug her. “You are all over the news! And let me say it, those designs are beautiful!”

“Thank you, Mother.” Amelia sweetly smiled, feeling warm in her heart.

It was the first time in her life that she felt a little proud of her work. And never before had she enjoyed being complimented about her work. It was a good feeling, and she was quite liking it. But more than that, she felt just at home here with her husband and his family, whom she now considered her family too.

“How many sales have you made?” Venessa curiously asked.

“14 apartments have been booked, and we have earned 19.6 Millon Neris. The cost of land has been recovered, and we expect all the Standard Apartments booked by the end of the year.” Amelia informed her.

“Three days tops.” Keith added, but Venessa shook her head.

“Two days tops. People wouldn’t miss out on this opportunity. The price is quite reasonable, which makes it a bargain considering how unique the building is and the planned shopping district close-by.” She reasoned. “You know, you could have easily earned more in this project.”

“We expect 400% Profits in this project. And our primary goal is to make a name for ourselves. Making money is secondary…” Keith said as he took his seat on the couch, pouring himself a glass of water.

“Do you have enough funds to work on these three projects simultaneously?” His mother asked.

“We are a little short, but I plan on selling the private properties of Gouzo that are now mine. Money isn’t a problem.” He informed her, and before she could inquire about how he managed to get his hands on Gouzo’s Business, someone interjected.

“Stop it, you two!” Diana cut in, sighing. “We are not talking business at this hour. I plan to have a few peaceful days before returning to the office.” She seriously said and then grabbed Amelia’s hand. “Let’s talk about your wedding! And I want to know when I will be getting my great-grandchild.” She teased, and giggled when she saw Keith nearly choking on the water.

Amelia blushed a little at her words, and embarrassedly lowered her head, not knowing able to respond to her words.

Thankfully, Diana did not bring it up again, and engaged her in a chat about her life and the upcoming wedding.
