Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 43 Lin Feng’s Meeting With Kang Fu

While Wang Jian was busy tormenting Kang Huian in his chambers, a dramatic event occurred in Night Dagger Clan’s hideout.

Fen Shuying confronted her father, Fen Gen, regarding those notes she found outside her room. 𝚍n𝚘v𝚕.𝚘𝚛𝚐

Fen Gen was utterly shocked to read those notes. He realized that it was a message sent by Wang Jian.

“W-where did you find this?!” Fen Gen was shocked. He resisted the urge to rush towards the storage where he kept these letters.

“I am asking if what’s written on it is true or not?!” Fen Shuying asked indignantly.

Noticing her father’s failure to reply, a bad feeling arose in her heart. She clenched her fists while speaking, “Please say something. Say that it is a lie. Say that someone is just framing you!”

“…I…I can’t even say those words, my dear,” Fen Gen spoke with a forced smile.

“What do you mean, father?” Fen Shuying inquired with a frown on her face.

“…It’s a long story, my dear. Sit down. Let’s start from the beginning,” Fen Gen spoke.

Thus, Fen Gen narrated the details of his secret collaboration with Wang Jian. He informed her how he was extorted and threatened into this collaboration.

He further told her how Wang Jian ordered him to incite the conflict between the Crimson Mammoth Tribe and the Miracle Angel Tribe.

He told her how he was delighted to hear this order as he could use this conflict to increase the power of the Night Dagger Clan in the Mellow Magnolia Woods while reducing his opponent’s power.

He also informed his daughter that the second reason behind his actions was so that Lin Feng would greatly prioritize her over the heiresses of the Crimson Mammoth Tribe and the Miracle Angel Tribe.

Fen Shuying was mostly satisfied to hear these words. However, she had no idea that Fen Gen left out the parts where he assisted Wang Jian in wooing Lin Feng’s women. This was the primary reason for their collaboration.

And this was all going as Wang Jian anticipated.

He knew that Fen Gen wouldn’t be foolish enough to reveal the entire truth to his daughter. He would definitely tweak the story a bit.

“…W-What will we do if Lin Feng finds out about this?!” Fen Shuying asked with a terrified tone.

With a confident expression, Fen Gen spoke, “He will never find out about this. Only the two of us know of this, so how can he find out…”

Fen Gen trailed off as his eyes widened in realization.

‘It’s not just us two!’

Fen Gen stared at his daughter and thought of a terrifying possibility. He thought, ‘Is he involved in this? If so, what is his aim, then? I must confront him immediately about this.’

Fen Gen had no idea that by this time, Lin Feng had already crossed the majority of Mellow Magnolia Woods to reach the battlefield where the three tribes had fought.

The Crimson Mammoth Tribe left the site to create a new hideout. Their tracks were rather fresh, with no attempts being made to conceal them.

Lin Feng and Han Xifeng ran speedily to catch up to the Crimson Mammoth Tribe members.

As Lin Feng and Han Xifeng approached the site, the Crimson Mammoth Tribe members noticed them and ran towards them. The warriors’ faces lit up with joy as they saw Lin Feng, who was a respected figure in their tribe.

However, as they noticed Han Xifeng, their expressions turned into confusion and suspicion. Some warriors whispered to each other, “Isn’t she the heiress of the Miracle Angel Tribe? What is she doing here with Lin Feng?”

They began to speculate among themselves about the reason for her presence. One warrior whispered, “Do you think Lin Feng is here to avenge Han Xifeng’s tribe?”

These warriors didn’t forget how they had just slaughtered the majority of members of the Miracle Angel Tribe. They thought that Lin Feng was coming to get justice for Han Xifeng.

However, the Crimson Mammoth Warriors weren’t scared. They weren’t in the wrong. It was the Miracle Angel Tribe who wanted to harm their heiress.

Lin Feng treated the warriors with a cold and uninviting demeanour. “I have come here to see Kang Fu,” he stated bluntly.

One of the warriors, named Liu, stepped forward and responded, “Kang Fu is currently in the tribe’s council hall. Follow me, and I will lead you there.”

Lin Feng nodded and followed Liu, with Han Xifeng following him closely, leaving the rest of the warriors behind. The group continued on their journey to the council hall, with the Crimson Mammoth Warriors watching them suspiciously.

Lin Feng entered the tent where Kang Fu sat waiting for him. The leader of the Crimson Mammoth Tribe looked up as Lin Feng entered, his expression betraying no emotion.

“Lin Feng, what brings you here?” Kang Fu asked, his voice stern.

“I’m here to discuss the recent attack on the Miracle Angel Tribe,” Lin Feng replied, his own voice cold.

Kang Fu’s eyes narrowed. “The attack was justified,” he said firmly. “They were planning to harm my daughter.”

“I’m aware of that,” Lin Feng replied. “But the attack went too far. Many innocent people were killed.”

“As far as I am concerned, there were no innocent people among them!” Kang Fu growled.

“…It seems there is no use arguing with you,” Lin Feng gritted his teeth.

“Yes, I was in the right. I will never forgive anyone who harms my family, no matter who he is!” Kang Fu spoke with a promise of threat.

“…Where is Kang Huian? I wanted to meet her. I can now treat her poison,” Lin Feng spoke confidently.

Kang Fu’s eyes gleamed with malice. “Ah, my daughter. She’s not here if that’s what you’re wondering. She’s in Wang Jian’s mansion.”

Lin Feng’s face turned to one of shock and anger. Wang Jian was his sworn enemy, and the thought of Kang Huian being in his mansion made him seethe with fury.
