Chapter 509 509: Reunion II

Cole raised an annoyed eyebrow, but Tehila tapped his single remaining arm with a smile on her face. Cole was actually a very jealous person, and having power like he did and the same mindset, he was not going to bother himself trying to get his insecurities in check.

That’s actually Tehila’s job, but if it bothered him enough or had he been here. He’d have just killed the man, after a castration of course and be done with it. He had many things to worry about and his heart had a limited space to worry about other men with a death wish. But still the idea of men after his woman did not sit well with him, he did not like it one bit.

“Well he made his moves, about two weeks after our baby was born. Raens recover from childbirth quickly but still, you know he should have had the decorum to give it enough time. But he made a move, and post partum depression can be quite something you know, and you weren’t here either. So during one of his advancements, I lost controlled and drained him right in front of his eldest son. 𝘪𝘳.𝒸𝑜𝑚

It was….it is still quite a scandal back home. But I was angry you know, even took his soul despite his son’s repeated begging, in order to find a way to save his father, I still just fed his damn soul to this cute little boy.” Tehila said as she bent down to rub Lyren under his chin.

“Guess I don’t need to do anything.” Cole said to her as she hugged him and laid her head on his left shoulder. “No, no you don’t baby. I’m just happy you’re back home, back to me, to us. Please promise me, cause I know asking you to slow down would be like asking the sun not to shine. But take a few days off to rest, or as soon as you’re done with the seventh floor you will give it a break for a while. There are other things to worry about, but at least you will be close to me, to us.” Cole did not even hesitate, he said.

“I promise.”

Cole felt the jet slowing down, as he looked out the window, they were above university town, which frankly speaking was looking a lot different than he remembered. Many of the buildings had been repurposed, a small thriving town, has grown around the entrance to the Collegium which further led as a path to Raen Valley.

The change was significant and Cole was quite happy about it. Of course eventually, one day all of this territory would become a part of Raen Valley, Cole imagined what it would look like once that time arrives. Tehilla squeezed Cole’s hand as she said to him.

“Well let’s go home.” Honestly this seemed like it was really important to Tehila and the others. Cole had been missing for four months after all, but for him he had seen them all only just a few days ago. He was finding it hard to have the same melancholic yet happy feeling they all had. For him it was as if he just got back from a long day at work and wanted to rest.

To them it was like he was deployed to Afghanistan and never came back. Only to come back four months later and he’s alive. He could feel their emotions and he could understand and he respected that they felt this way about him. Perhaps he couldn’t relate, but he was Raen, and Raens are the most emotionally sensitive race in the whole universe.

*CHEEEEEERRRRRRRR!*

Before they could even come down from the jet the whole town came alive with screams, whistling and cheers along with claps. For a moment Cole had no idea what to do with all this much…Joy! There were mostly humans here, but there Raens here and there along with other races, and some soldiers, still human, some different races from whatever they had picked, but still…human all the way.

They were all happy to see him alive, a hero’s welcome. It was weird cause in Cole’s head, he was the bad guy. And he loved being the bad guy, but to be this loved was overwhelming. It was not over a year ago almost two that he was wandering about hurt and broken from Sarah’s deceit.

Now here he was, a leader of his own nation, strong, a husband, a father! There was real genuine joy in his life, which frankly speaking was a weird thing for a Devil to have. But it was good feelings all round. But the reception to Cole’s return on the earth side was small compared to what happened when he reached Raen Valley.

Their screams were thunderous, and yeah that was mostly because there was a lot more people on the other side in Raen Valley than there was in University Town, which is what the Dungeon town was being called now. But much more than that was that Cole could feel the bond of close to 15 thousand people. Raens, this was not a hero’s welcome, but a father’s. Cole turned to Tehila in surprise but it was Eze who gave him an answer.

“Yeah well, we all have powerful fighters and advanced technology. But how the rest of the world does too, level 100 changed things, it made it possible for everyone to start from the same starting line and advance based on understanding and perception. Not all Raens are genius fighters like you, so it’s coming along slow for some of us.

The rest of the universe used that as an excuse to bully us some even said we weren’t human anymore and anything worth about this race, is the missing Progenitor that was probably dead somewhere. And this is Raen folk boss, if one of us feels terrible then we all feel terrible.”

Cole nodded his head in agreement, so in his absence they have been bullying his people. Well that won’t do, that won’t do at all. Cole turned and raised his hand, and just the same before he left, his aura and charisma as a leader was so much more than he would have ever thought.

“Raen Valley! I am Home!”
