Chapter 84 Friend Or Foe

“Sir. Famir, You are embarrassing me by giving me such an offer.” Hecate said as she accepted the key.

“The Shadow Oblivion organization has already given me tremendous benefits by giving me the Monarch legacy and even going a step further to share the tomb treasures,” Hecate said with a bright smile.

‘I wonder what her reaction would be if she knew that she is one of the very few people that could even acquire this legacy.’ Alex thought, already knowing that Hecate would reject the compensation.

Alex was giving Hecate the Monarch Legacy not because he was generous but because he knew the chance of finding a trustworthy person with great talent who could obtain the Oberon legacy was close to zero.

All [SSS] Legacy holders were extremely talented people with a very high affinity with their legacy because without having them, a person couldn’t even begin legacy trials, let alone pass them to obtain the legacy.

“I don’t need any compensation for the key, but I would be very grateful if the organization could help me in searching for the location of Oberon Tomb,” Hecate said.

“The organization doesn’t have the information on the exact location, but we know that the tomb is located in an area of the Black Ocean with heavy storms,” Alex replied.

Alex knew the location of the Tomb, but he didn’t want to tell Hecate about it because the area with the Tomb was still undiscovered by any player and was tricky to locate even with his future knowledge.

“You should peacefully search for the tomb as there is no time limit, and the organization will inform you if any new information gets discovered,” Alex said, seeing Hecate thinking deeply with a troubled look.

“I was trying to remember any area with raging storms in Black Ocean,” Hecate said.

“I recommend that before searing the dangerous and massive area of Black Ocean, we should find the answer to the riddle written on the key,” Alex said, pointing toward the writing on the globe.

After hearing the suggestion, Hecate quickly used the system to translate the writing on the key.

‘I can’t give you any more information.’ Alex thought, seeing Hecate reading the translated writing.

The riddle written on the key was tricky to understand as it didn’t even look like a riddle, more like a list of complaints.

…….

“I am sad that I died with countless regrets.”

“I am happy that I died on my terms.”

…….

…….

“I rest in a place with no sunlight.”

“I rest in a place with ever-raging storms.”

…….

…….

“I rest in peace while my friend guards my remains.”

“I rest in peace while my friend suffers eternal loneliness.”

…….

…….

“The Humble Dragon King”

…….

“There are few clues in these lines, and with the already known information, I think solving the riddle wouldn’t take too much time,” Hecate said with a bright smile.

‘I wonder if she could find it faster than she did in my last life.’ Alex thought, seeing Hecate taking the riddle lightly.

‘If she is lucky, six months would be the earliest, and if she is unlucky, then even two years wouldn’t be enough.’ Alex thought, knowing how lucky one needs to be to find the tomb of Oberon.

The tomb was tricky to locate even with all the easy clues because it was on an island that, in reality, was a giant turtle.

The giant turtle was the same friend of Oberon that guarded his remains, and the turtle never stayed in one place for long, but there was a trick to locate him, which was to check every big storm in the Black Ocean area because the turtle would always stay in a raging storm.

The conditions for locating the Oberon tomb were very harsh, but they were justified because it was the first trial from Oberon to his future successor, as only a fated person to get his legacy would locate his tomb.

“Sir. Famir, It was a great pleasure meeting you, and I will inform you when I decode this riddle.” Hecate said with a happy smile as she stood ready to leave.

After a small conversation with Alex, Hecate left the room with a bright smile, not hiding her happiness.

‘Let’s have a quick conversation with Vlad before leaving for the Darkness Kingdom to acquire my own legacy.’ Alex thought as he sent a message to Badger using Golden token.

While Alex was waiting for Badger and Vlad, his Beastmen guardians, who protected him a few minutes ago, were having a conversation to mess with his plans for the future.

“Master, you look awfully happy after seeing that tomb key.” Lady Nachtor asked the old man.

“Little Nachtor, That Tomb key is so special that your master might just die from being too happy.” The old man replied with a broad toothy smile that didn’t suit his elderly appearance.

“Master, you need to act according to your age.” Lady Nachtor replied, not understanding why her wise master was acting like a kid.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA”

“Little Nachtor, after you know the value of that tomb key, you would be as thrilled as me.” The old man replied, laughing like a maniac.

“Master, If you keep laughing like this without controlling your mana, you will destroy this hotel roof.”

“Master, I know that the key belongs to a Dragon King’s tomb, which is very special, but I still can’t understand the reason for your happiness.” Lady Nachtor said.

“In my long life, I have gathered tremendous knowledge, and I only know about one Dragen titled “The Humble Dragon King.” The old man said.

“The Dragon with that Title is [Oberon, Monarch Of The Night Sky], and he is not just a random dragon Monarch who controls tremendous strength. Oberon was one of the wisest Dragen Monarch to live in the last millennia.”

“Now You know why I am so thrilled about that Tomb key.” The old man said calmly and tapped his cane on the roof.

“Captain, You want me to capture the girl and take the tomb key?” A Beastmen, entirely hidden in a black cloak, appeared like a shadow and asked the old man.

“Vendox, Don’t take any action for now but hide in the shadow of that girl and wait for your next orders.” The old man said, and the Beastmen vanished to fulfill his given orders.

“Master, I think we should ask Young master how he wants to handle this situation.” Lady Nachtor said.

“Little Nachtor, You don’t need to disturb young master for every little thing, and I believe he would agree with my decision, but just to make you not worry, I would contact young master right now.” The old man said as he took out a communication slip to contact Yanric.

“Mordash, Is everything fine?” Yanric questioned right after picking up the call.

“Young Master, I have great news I want to share with you.” The old man named Mordash replied.

Mordash started explaining about the tomb key and every related to it while also telling everything that Alex and Hecate discussed.

“Young Master, I believe there is a great chance that you could find ancient information in the Tomb that could help you unlock your bloodline, and the legacy of Oberon alone has a high chance of unlocking your bloodline,” Mordash said.

“Your conclusion holds great wisdom, and as you said, the lady and Hidden One don’t have a close relationship, so taking the key using force won’t cause us any problems,” Yanric said, and after a few seconds of silence, he continued.

“The only issue is that we do not know the tomb’s location, so taking the key right now would be useless and could cause us some problems in the future.”

“Mordash, I want you to send someone to keep watch on the lady, and you should go to the Black ocean area and try to find the tomb’s location using the available information,” Yanric said.

“I will inform you of the good news as fast as possible,” Mordash said as he placed the communication slip back in his space ring.

“Lillte Nachtor, I will be back in a few days, so don’t neglect your training,” Mordash said as he vanished from the spot, leaving Nachtor alone.

‘The Monarch’s legacy is great, but I am more interested in the mysterious organization responsible for giving these rare and precious legacies to the two immortal adventurers.’

‘I think the organization that boy belongs to is [Shadow World] because only that Ancient Colossal could offer high-ranking legacies like candies, but what are they planning to offer such benefits to weak immortal adventurers?’ Nachtor thought, looking toward the clear sky.

‘I wonder if he would offer something even more special to that immortal adventurer who holds the Giant legacy.’ Nachtor thought as she vanished from her position.

Alex, who was ignorant about his future business partner’s decision to mess with his plans, happily welcomed Vlad and Badger, ready to obtain some easy benefits and create some connection he could use in the future.
