Chapter 455 The Battle Begins (II)

Chapter 455 The Battle Begins (II)

The island was engulfed in chaos as multiple battles took place, with players fighting players, while the Quetzalcoatl was engaged in intense battle in the central area.

The battle against the Quetzalcoatl was led by Killian, Odin, Ra, and their teammates, while the rest of the teams were acting as support from the sidelines, picking their time to land attacks in the fast-paced battle.

On the lower left corner of the island, Vlad, the master of the Chosen Champion Guild, could be seen engaged against Zeus. 𝘳.𝑐𝘰

Vlad’s physique had undergone the effects of his legacy skill known as Gigantification, rendering him towering at over four meters tall.

Despite his hulking frame, he retained astonishing agility, effortlessly wielding a massive spear adorned in golden and brown runes and making it look like a blur as he ripped through the near-invisible barrage of lightning bullets.

By his side was Lady Rosalba, who could be seen in an appearance befitting her title as the Nature Queen, as she had also undergone profound changes, and her once delicate features were now imbued with the essence of the forest.

Lady Rosalba’s ears were elongated like those of the elves, a crown of intricately woven wood rested on her head, adorned with delicate white flowers that seemed to bloom perpetually, while her eyes, once vibrant with color, now glowed with a misty white light.

“Hey Valdy, I always thought you had some honor, but I never imagined you’d sell out like a stray mutt for a few treats from some random organization,” Zeus said, as his figure blurred, keeping his distance from the rampaging giant.

“I thought you had some honor, but where were you when Aeon from that random organization was tearing through your precious guild city?” Vlad fired back as he stayed hot on his heels.

The beef between the Olypian Guild and Chosen Champion Guild went far back, and the two guilds were always engaged in an unofficial war, so they just needed the opportunity to pick each other apart.

On the lower right side of the island, among the crowd of players, Venedikt and the team could be seen holding their own against the team members of Magnus.

The number of teams supporting Alex was six, with a total player count of twenty-five, and even among them, there were not many elites that could cope against multiple highly skilled individuals, so Venedikt and others were at a clear number and strength disadvantage.

“After seeing your organization participating, I was hoping that we would get to see a few chapter masters at play, knowing that many strong teams will be gunning for you,”

“But it looks like the organization either wants to stay secretive, or you lot are just a bunch of clowns led by a lucky bastard,” A towering figure said, his body shrouded in gray and crimson knight’s armor, as his mighty sword effortlessly tore through the solid barrier of space.

The man was named Lykos, also known as the wolf of the magician, the right-hand man of Magnus, an arcane knight by nature, holder of an unknown legacy like every other individual in his group.

“Captain, Do not waste your breath on these weaklings. Just kill them, and we might get a piece of that Ruler guy,” A female standing at the back by the side of a mountain of a figure who wielded a hammer and giant shield.

The female was named Soraya, the healer of the group, while the dark-skinned, bearded man was the tank named Bakari, a hulking individual with a refined physique that matched Andrei in height and size.

Venedikt sensed Ravyn engaged against three individuals, one of them being a pink-haired pony-tailed girl who was the fourth member of Magnus’s team, and he could see that she was no pushover.

‘Ravyn will probably need help, and with the Ravenglades Guild engaged against the Olympian and Frozen Flower dealing with multiple teams, I will need to do something,’ Venedikt thought, his mind calculating the best course of action to win.

“Ruinov, Pyrael, you two will deal with the tank and the healer, and make sure you also help out guild leader Hecate deal with Poseidon and Demeter,” Venedikt said as his figures began to turn pitch dark.

“It’s about damm time I pummel the faces of these fools,” Andrei said with a chuckle before his figure began to morph.

“Entertain me if you can,” Lykos, the knight, spoke, twirling his greatsword like a fan, building momentum as he swiftly closed the distance, and in an instant, he brought the silver blade down upon Venedikt with speed, challenging to see let alone evade.

“Space Surge”

Venedikt calmly raised his hand as he silently manipulated the space and completed his skill, at that precise moment, his hand was about to make contact with the great sword, and like hitting a wall, the sword came to a halt before a shock pulsed forth from the very fabric of space, making the sword move back like a blur and sending the Lykos flying back like a bullet.

“I can’t have you stealing all the limelight,” Andrei said, his voice as deep as a beastly growl.

Andrei’s transformation was swift and powerful, his once human form giving way to that of a towering, majestic beast, his face morphing into that of a regal wolf, with his piercing blue eyes glowing with newfound intensity.

Midnight-black fur adorned his face, abdomen, and legs, while his arms bulged with newfound strength, encased in layers of scales that shimmer in a blend of dark obsidian black and vibrant emerald green scales.

These scales covered his arms up to his shoulders, as well as his back and sides, extending just above his knees, while magnificent wings adorned with ink-rich gray feathers sprouted from his back, adding to the aura of majesty and power that surrounded him.

Andrei was using his Avatar of Cannibalism first form, which he created using the best material that Alex could get for him, with the first being the mid-night wolf, a Beast Emperor of the Elven kingdom that died at the hands of Elder Darrien for pissing him off at the wrong time.

The other two creatures, a Blight Hydra and Duskwing Griffin, were also Beast Emperors and each of them served a purpose, with the wolf giving strength and unnatural senses, the hydra giving unrivaled regeneration and defense, and lastly, the griffin giving speed and calmness of mind.

In the state of Avatar of Cannibalism, Andrei was taking on an aspect of each beast he added to the form, and besides balancing the bloodlines, he needed to balance out the aspects, or else it would really give him trouble in his beast form.

The current state was the strongest form of Andrei, and it boosted all his stats by an average of 600%, but it came at the cost of extreme pain and a terrible burn rate of mana and vitality, and unless he stopped using it, he would drop dead in hundred and twenty to two hundred and fifty seconds depending on the damage he took in the time frame.

Fulgor was also not left alone as his appearance was quickly linked to Alex, and he was isolated from the Quetzalcoatl because any amount of damage he did would earn Alex and his team points, which was the last thing the top teams wanted.

“You lot are sure not nice to me, even though I am on your side,” Fulgor said as he avoided another bullet by Vesper, the faceless female assassin of the Killian team.

“It appears my normal skills cannot even break his mental barrier, so my presence in this battle is not needed,” Aetherius, the demon priest, said before swiftly vanishing.

“The summoner told me that the enemy was the big guy responsible for the storm, but it seems he forgot to tell me about the competition,” Fulgor said, his eyes scanning the multiple ongoing battles at the forefront of the island.

“While you lot would be fun to battle, I want to play with that big guy, so I will ask you nicely to stop annoying me, or I will need to remove you,” Fulgor said, a playful smile not leaving his face.

“You are not going anywhere,” Vesper said as she fired multiple mana bullets, each with deadly accuracy.

Fulgor was no easy target, and because he had no interest in anyone but that main target, merely keeping him away from the main battle was a challenge because of his unmatched speed and senses.

But alongside elites among that elites keeping him at bay, he couldn’t move freely, also that didn’t sit very well with him, and soon enough, the players against him were going to find out how they had kicked the hornet nest.
