Chapter 237 Progressing As Planned

The Gold Kingdom treasury had a wide variety of treasures ranging from high-quality weapons and Aromors to buy prints, rare potion recipes, and even high-grade legacy items.

The available wide variety made it hard for Alex to pick a single item knowing he had a rare opportunity, and wasting it on some random legendary thing or a legacy would be a grave mistake.

Alex was wandering the treasury central area, hoping to find something unique, when Elder Darrien told him he wanted an item for himself.

Alex was surprised, knowing with Elder Darrien’s status and strength, there were very few things he would desire, but he kept his question to himself and went to the place he guided him.

The Item Elder Darrien wanted was a broken one-handed axe, with half the blade missing and the last of the handle gone as well, with the whole thing being covered in cracks making it appear that it would crumble to dust at the slightest touch.

The fragmented weapon seemed inconspicuous amidst the grandeur of the treasury, yet it held an unmistakable aura of ancient power and untold history.

The intricate web of fissures covering the axe pulsed with an eerie crimson glow, giving the weapon an unsettling aura of instability, and Alex could feel that malevolent aura, veiled in a shroud of extreme bloodlust and death even though the magic crystal container in which it was displayed.

The weapon was named Sanguine Reaver, and even in its damaged state, it was still a unique quality weapon while most of its information was displayed as unknown.

Alex took the axe and, after having a small conversation with the king, left the Royal palace and made his way back to the hotel room to give the items to Thogrim. 𝒷𝒹ℴ𝓿𝓁.𝓬𝓸𝓂

‘This Gold merchant badge will help Yanric expand his business rapidly using its privileges which will, in turn, make me a lot of money,’ Alex thought with a smile, holding a dark badge with a stylized merchant’s scale etched on it.

King Corvin gave Alex a Gold merchant badge before he took his leave, already knowing of his business affiliation with Yanric.

The Merchant Guild played a crucial role in maintaining a thriving, regulated, and interconnected economy for all seven continents, and every merchant was registered with them and needed to follow their rules to do business.

As a Gold Grade member of the Merchant Guild, Yanric would enjoy a wide range of benefits and privileges that would significantly enhance his trading capabilities.

The benefits ranged from Trading Freedom, Expanded Trade Routes, Reduced Trade Taxes, Customs Clearance Priority, Access to Exclusive Markets and opportunities, and much more.

It would have taken Yanric years of effort to advance to the status of Gold merchant, and if he could even have survived that long, but now, with his new status, he could expand his business tens of times faster, which would greatly benefit Alex.

‘Let’s send the signal to Thogrim,’ Alex thought as he used the signal talisman that, after shining brightly, crumbled into light particles.

After sending the signal, Alex opened his organization member chat section seeing the light talk among the members before moving on to the private chat section he created for the six members whom he gave the task of managing the players who failed to join.

Alex picked those six players from his memory, knowing each of them was an intelligent person capable of doing the management work, and in the last few weeks, they proved him right, efficiently managing the inquiries and newly recommended players.

Those six individuals were currently the organization manager, with his sworn brother Venedikt being one of them.

Alex had told them the criteria of players who could join the organization and had given them the authority to offer the joining contracts to players, but he still made the final decision.

In the first week, they asked Alex many questions, but now all of them were like experienced managers, having learned what the organization wanted and what not, and because of that, they were handling everything nicely.

In recent weeks, the organization had welcomed fourteen new members, each having advanced to the first Rank with hidden class while tens of more were working on proving themselves worthy of joining.

‘Everything is developing at a fine pace, and once I introduce the members to the Malefis Domain, things will progress much faster, and it won’t be long before I have a mighty group of trusted individuals under my command,’ Alex thought, a smile stretched on his face.

While Alex was lost in thoughts about his future plans, he heard a loud noise that brought him back to reality and saw the room door crumbling into wooden shards, crashing a safe distance away from him.

“Kid! I told you not to disturb me until you had the goods, so do you have the material I want?” Thogrim’s booming voice echoed as he appeared before Alex.

“You sure know how to make an entry,” Alex said, smiling as he took out the glass container with Law Core of the Ignis Phoenix.

Thogrim’s eyes widened as he looked at the container in Alex’s hand, and with a swift motion, he took the blazing, ethereal core pulsed with fiery energy and started to examine it with a serious look.

“How the Hell did you acquire the Law core so quickly? It can be just blind fuking Luck.” Thogrim exclaimed, his face caring a toothy grin while his aura was let loose in his excitement.

“I needed to sacrifice a lot to get it from the treasury of the Gold Kingdom,” Alex replied honestly.

“You don’t seem to be lying, so did you offer that pesky fucker Corvin some valuable information of his ancestor’s legacy for him to be willing to part with such a treasure,” Thogrim said while keeping his eyes on the law core.

Alex just smiled and didn’t say anything, and after a few moments, the container in Thogrim’s hand vanished, and he stood up, looking eager to leave.

“Lad, You have my deepest gratitude, and if you want anything done, use this to contact me and keep up your effort, as I believe you will be able to locate the Mystium Ore,” Thogrim said, throwing Alex a communication slip.

“Hey, Old Man, you are leaving without the second material,” Alex said, making Thogrim turn back and look at him with wide eyes.

“Lad, Dont Fucking Joke with me,” Thogrim said, his voice carrying a hint of annoyance.

Alex didn’t say anything and took out the giant piece of ethereal metal shining like a starry pearl before placing it on the table, instantly making the room pulse with mana.

“By the blazing forge of the ancients,” Thogrim said as he laid eyes on it, looking stunned while his hands trembled with excitement and his eyes filled with disbelief.

Thogrim came forward and placed his hand on the Mystium Ore, caressing its surface with reverence, his face caring a smile while his eyes sparkled with excitement.

“Mystium Ore, and one of such size and such pristine condition,” Thogrim said, his face caring a goofy smile.

After a few moments, Thogrim regained his composure and took his seat before Alex while placing the Mystium Ore on his tiny legs, keeping a solid grip on it.

“Lad, You’ve truly outdone yourself, and as promised, I will complete my pledge to meet one of your requests every month for the next five years, and to show my genuine gratitude, I will extend the time to ten years,” Thogrim said, a cracked hammer in his hand which he placed on his chest as he made his statement.

Alex raised an eyebrow in surprise hearing the statement, knowing Thogrim wasn’t laying as he had made a dwarven pledge, and breaking it meant he would never wield mana and his forging hammer again in life.

“Lad, I don’t know how you acquired the Mystium Ore that I have been looking for decades was unsuccessful in locating it, but you will have deepest gratitude if you could tell me how and where you located such a pure piece of Mystium Ore,” Thogrim said, his fiery tone caring respect showing the gravity of the situation for him.

“Will you believe I made the Mystium Ore myself,” Alex replied with a smile.

“After seeing how you have obtained the two materials I failed to gather for decades, sure I will believe your ridicules lie,” Thogrim chuckled, his red beard flickering with amusement.

“I am not joking, but before I tell you how I did it, let me first tell you about my little request,” Alex said with a smile Thogrim didn’t look amused one bit, but he kept his silence.

Alex told Thogrim about the large number of Puppets and warships he wanted and how he planned to hire Master and Grand Master-grade individuals required to build those weapons of war, and he will be convincing them to work under him, aka a Forg King.

Thogrim was a bit annoyed, but he agreed and even told Alex that he would arrange the required workforce, which was a big relief for Alex as it saved the tedious work of going from person to person with his proposal.

Alex then made Thogrim take an oath to keep the information to himself before revealing to him the creation method of the Mystium Ore and then even giving him the materials to create one, only hiding the use of the Ancient Red gem to cleanse the impurities.
